To run Wuthering Waves on PC you need, at minimum, a GTX 1060 (or RX 570 / Arc A380), a 9th-gen Core i5 or Ryzen 7 2700, 16 GB of RAM and 150 GB of free storage. The graphics card bar is modest. The RAM and storage are where most budget PCs fall short.
Here's the short version:
- Minimum GPU: GTX 1060, RX 570 or Intel Arc A380.
- RAM: 16 GB minimum, 32 GB recommended.
- Storage: 150 GB — the largest of the big anime games.
- SSD: recommended at minimum, required at recommended settings.
- Verdict: fine on a mid-range desktop; a tough fit for 8 GB laptops.
Wuthering Waves minimum and recommended specs
These figures come from Kuro Games' official Steam page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 64-bit |
| CPU | Intel Core i5 (9th gen) / Ryzen 7 2700 | Intel Core i7 (9th gen) / Ryzen 3700 |
| RAM | 16 GB | 32 GB |
| GPU | GTX 1060 / RX 570 / Arc A380 | RTX 2060 / RX 5700 XT / Arc A750 |
| DirectX | 12 | 12 |
| Storage | 150 GB | 150 GB |
| Notes | HDD supported, SSD recommended | SSD required |
If you've seen "30 GB" or "60 GB" quoted elsewhere, those are older figures. The game has grown with every major update, and the current Steam listing says 150 GB.
The RAM is the real filter
The honest answer to "can my PC run it?" usually comes down to memory, not the graphics card.
16 GB at minimum is unusual for a free-to-play game. Many budget laptops and older prebuilt desktops ship with 8 GB. If that's you, Wuthering Waves is below spec before you even look at the GPU, and you'll likely see stutter when the game loads new areas.
The good news: RAM is often the cheapest upgrade on a desktop. Going from 8 GB to 16 GB is usually a simple swap, as long as your motherboard has free slots or you replace the existing sticks.
The recommended 32 GB is for higher settings. You don't need it to play.
Storage: check this before anything else
150 GB is more than half of a 256 GB drive, and Windows plus your other games need space too. Updates also need temporary room while they apply.
Kuro Games says an HDD is supported at minimum, but an SSD is recommended, and it becomes required at recommended settings. On a hard drive, expect longer loading and possible hitching while you move fast through the world, which is exactly what the game is built around.
If your PC only has a hard drive, a budget SATA or NVMe SSD for this one game is a more useful upgrade than a faster graphics card.
Can a budget gaming PC run Wuthering Waves?
If it has a GTX 1060-class card (or better), 16 GB of RAM and an SSD with room: yes, at the publisher's minimum, which usually means low to medium settings.
Cards at or above the bar include the GTX 1060 6 GB, GTX 1650 Super, GTX 1660, RX 580, RTX 2060, RTX 3050 and newer. The game needs DirectX 12, which these all support.
On laptops, the GPU is usually fine on gaming models. RAM and storage are what to check: plenty of gaming laptops still come with 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB drive.
Settings to lower first
Near the minimum specs, these general rules help most:
- Lower the resolution or render scale before anything else.
- Drop shadows and effects quality. Combat in Wuthering Waves is full of particle effects.
- If your graphics card supports an upscaler option in the menu, try it. It can help a weaker GPU hold a steadier frame rate.
- Close your browser while playing if you're at exactly 16 GB.
Is Wuthering Waves worth playing?
Worth it if you have 16 GB of RAM, an SSD with 150+ GB free, and you love fast, timing-based combat. Skip it if you're on an 8 GB laptop or a small drive: Zenless Zone Zero asks for half the storage and runs on 8 GB.
Wuthering Waves is on Steam (since April 2025) as well as Kuro Games' own launcher.

The bottom line
Wuthering Waves' graphics card requirement is reasonable — a GTX 1060 meets the minimum. The 16 GB of RAM and 150 GB of storage are what decide whether your PC can run it. Check those two first, put it on an SSD, and lower effects before resolution if you need more frames.
