What is NTE?

You play the first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter in Hethereau. You join the crew of Eibon, a run-down antique shop that pays its bills by taking Anomaly jobs from anyone who'll pay. From there, the game mixes:

  • Real-time combat: you build a team of companions, each with their own powers, and swap between them in fights against Anomalies.
  • A city you can actually live in: shops in back alleys, side stories on every street, and friends to make across rival factions.
  • Driving: customize your ride and race through the streets, or take the Ghost Train through Anomaly space to cross the map.

NTE: Neverness to Everness driving: a red-haired girl and a white-haired man in a red convertible speeding through city traffic

That city focus is what sets NTE apart from Genshin Impact or Wuthering Waves: instead of fields and mountains, you get a modern metropolis with traffic, neon and cars.

  2. RAM: 16 GB is the minimum.
  3. CPU: an 8-core chip like the i7-10700, or a Ryzen 7 3700X and up. Gaming desktops from the last few years are usually in this range.

  • It's on Steam. After launching worldwide on April 29, 2026, through its own launcher, NTE arrived on Steam on July 7, 2026.
  • It's built on Unreal Engine 5. Hethereau is one of the most detailed cities in any free game right now.
  • It costs nothing. It's free to play, with optional in-game purchases.

Is it worth it?

Yes, if you want a modern-city open world with anime style, fast combat and cars. Nothing else in the genre feels like it.
